"University in green" is what the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ) calls the Ruhr University in Bochum (RUB). For lovers of architecture and photographers this university is still a magnet. The campus-architecture has fulfilled its founding purpose. The RUB lives the universitas and is perceived as unique community.
Task
The task was to choose timely products that match to the time where the inital campus was built. At the same time, the products used should be recognizable in their timeless form language.
Our solution
According to the given task, the decision for the products from ECO Schulte was easy: U-form handle D-110/D-116, classical and timely maintenance-free hinges with an acceptable load of up to 160 kg per hinge and stainless steel ball bearings that keep up to the requirements of a university-usage level.
